Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or any ground meat of your choice
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 4-5 cloves garlic minced
  • 30 oz frozen shredded hash browns
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup or use any 2 cans of preferred cream soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese plus 1 extra cup for topping
  • 1-2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp onion powder
  • 1-2 tsp black pepper
  • 1-2 cups French’s crispy fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with diced onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine hash browns, cooked beef mixture, soups, sour cream, cheese (reserving 1 cup), and seasonings. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Spread evenly. Top with reserved cheese and crispy fried onions.
  • Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbling.
  • Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add chopped vegetables, swap the soups, or adjust the cheese type to suit your taste. Great for freezing and meal prep.
